From our inception to becoming a leading, fully-certified EPC services provider in Africa.
2017
Foundations in regional project execution
KEA delivered early regional project support in Mozambique and established its Cape Town Harbour workshop, creating a practical base for fabrication, maintenance and project execution.
2018
ISO certification and repeat shutdown support
KEA achieved ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification, began recurring Saldanha shutdown support, and delivered fabrication and sea-fastening scopes including A-frames, LARS and SA Agulhas support.
2019
First major offshore oil & gas vessel scope
KEA expanded its marine and offshore track record with work on the COSL Prospector, alongside Mozambique fabrication/logistics support and continued Saldanha shutdown activities.
2020
Broader marine, industrial and equipment support
KEA continued to diversify, delivering marine support, dry-docking assistance, spooler work, genset assembly and industrial installation scopes while maintaining Saldanha shutdown support.
2021
Repeat client delivery and expedition logistics
KEA delivered repeat fabrication, genset, shutdown and logistics scopes, including sea-fastening and logistical support for the SA Agulhas Shackleton Expedition programme.
2022
E-House, substation and marine repair capability growth
KEA expanded into E-House and substation fabrication while continuing heavy-lift, marine repair, painting and industrial installation support across regional and international projects.
2023
Major offshore reactivation milestone
KEA acted as main contractor for the Deepwater Orion reactivation and continued to deliver repeat genset, E-House and shutdown support for established clients.
2024
FPSO logistics, heavy fabrication and port-based execution
KEA supported FPSO logistics, container crane installation, mining and E-House projects, JSD6000 fabrication scopes, dredger fabrication and ongoing Saldanha shutdown work.
2025
Port services, crane installation and Project Odyssey
KEA continued JSD6000 installation and port-service support, delivered further container crane installation assistance in Port Elizabeth and Durban, and commenced Project Odyssey / Unit 1111 fabrication.
2026
Offshore and rope-access expansion
KEA established its Offshore and Rope Access Division, progressed workshop footprints in Angola and Namibia, secured key offshore, lifting and rope-access approvals, and delivered rope-access hull painting on the Deepwater Thalassa in the Bahamas.
